In my spiritual wanderings, I once encountered a teacher who suggested the possibility of being fallen beyond redemption. According to her, our DNA could bear the scars of countless lifetimes. So deeply entrenched in karmic entanglements and alignments that returning to Source with full remembrance would be an unattainable feat. Anyone who dared to question this notion was dismissed as “love, light, and clueless.” Their beliefs labeled as incongruent with the laws of physics. This did not seem any different than any traditional religion which believes that we can spend eternity in the pits of hell.
It Simply IS
I grappled with the implications of such a teaching; even trying to entertain that possibility. I found myself unable to reconcile it with the essence of Grace and the boundless love of Source. That was a truth I hold at the core of my being.
To suggest that a soul could be forever dammed, forever separated from the infinite Source of love and compassion, seemed a betrayal of the very heart of spirituality. Wayne Dyer wrote, “Unconditional love is the highest vibration of the Universe, the purest expression of divine grace. It knows no boundaries, no conditions, no limits. It simply is.”
Beyond Human Understanding
Throughout the years, I became more and more aware that the eternal flow of divine mercy and forgiveness, is available to all beings. It does not matter what their past deeds or perceived shortcomings are. Grace transcends human understanding. It is the guiding force gently nudges us back onto the path of remembrance, no matter how far we stray. For me, to believe otherwise is to confine the omnipotence of God’s love within the narrow confines of human comprehension. To imply that one can be beyond redemption is to deny the inherent divinity within every soul. There is no need of any “redemption” -we are each a spark of Source.
Louise Hays writes, “Through the lens of grace, we come to understand that there are no mistakes, only opportunities for growth and transformation. Every experience, every challenge, is infused with the loving presence of the Divine.” In this realm of human experience, we have free will. We have the power to choose our thoughts, our words, and our actions. And yet, even in our moments of misguided choice, Grace remains ever-present.
Bringing Us Home
To that teacher who believes some cannot return to Source with remembrance and to those religions that tell us we can spend eternity in hell fire, I would simply say that I choose not to place limits on Source. I fervently hope that humanity can release this notion of having fallen beyond redemption. Until we do, we will continue to limit the power of Source, and therefore limit our own power.
As Eckart Tolle wrote so beautifully, “Grace is the divine melody that sings to our souls, reminding us of our sacred connection to the Source. It is the gentle whisper that guides us home, no matter how far we may wander.”

So much truth, as I grew up in the mountains of Colorado making all my best friends trees, deer, special nooks in the side of a rock faces, the birds that would follow me through the trees. Observing how the nature of these beautiful beings would consume and ravage the nature of the next smaller being. Watching the stoms come in and destroy countless nests, ant piles, grazing fields. I started to see how the very nature of humanity is fairly the same as the idea goes. Call it intuition but as years went on it was through that Grace of Knowing our free will choices would guide us appropriately back to its original creation…always bring shown the the gifts of Grace. I never fell for that dogma of the church, but wasn’t without a bumpy road. As you referenced Eckart Tolle for me it has been the divine symphony/ choir that has played so beautifully in the background of inner Audio when I’ve chose to embrace and embody my true self. Even knowing some of those choices I’d made were not so soulful as the church would say. I’ve always felt hell is what you make it..I appreciate your timing with this blog, as it’s a great reminder to always honor what you feel. It’s impact is the road back to source…..
